Victorian tile floor clean, repair, restore in Glasgow

One of our recent restoration and conservation projects we undertook in Glasgow, the design is a really nice combination of colours and the boarder in particular is lovely.

This was a particularly unusual Victorian tile design; the green encaustic Victorian tiles were amazing and unlike anything we had ever seen. The creativity and skill of the original Victorian tilers is incredible in both the tile design in terms of geometry. The setting out and the execution. To get the floor as level and perfect as they are is testament to the original craftsman.

We have undertaken hundreds  of Victorian tile restoration projects around Scotland in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Perth and Stirling  and are genuinely overwhelmed at the variety and complexity of the Victorian tiles. It’s a great legacy to have left us from both an aesthetic and practical point of view.
