Brass Cill Victorian Tiles Stirling, Scotland

We have been busy installing new brass threshold cill plates to several of our specialist Victorian Tile floor project in Scotland.

It’s a really nice traditional way to complete a Victorian tile project with a  very long lasting solution to a threshold.

It’s both functional and hardwearing and looks lovely over time as the brass patinated with exposure.

We see a lot of historic Victorian tile floors around Scotland and the UK when undertaking surveys and our Specialist Victorian tile projects and am amazed at how such a high impact area such as a threshold still has the original Victorian threshold plates in-situ. Still undertaking the job they are designed to do.

The patina of the bronze looks lovely as it has aged over the last 100 to 150 years and we look forward to our installations having the same life span as the original Victorian tile thresholds.
